As the urgency of global warming becomes more apparent every torrential summer or scorching winter, the world's biggest polluters are stepping up to the challenge. Not by drastically reducing their carbon emissions, but by simply marketing themselves as environmentally-conscious and ready to act.

But this is nothing more than deceptive greenwashing, a veneer of marketing to cover a fossil fuelled business-as-usual march to apocalypse. Oil giants like Shell pepper their advertising with underwhelming green technology like a footstep-powered hotdog van or gravity-powered lamp in order to placate the public that something is being done while they continue to extract and burn ever increasing amounts of hydrocarbons into an already overheated atmosphere.

The US Military, the single biggest polluting institution on Earth, develops bullet casings that contain seeds to grow flowers on the battlefield. My project attempts to satirise these already ridiculous real life greenwashing technologies and the cynical and murderous intent behind them.
